Have you ever considered umpiring youth baseball or softball games? We are looking for both youth and adults to work as paid umpires.
Unpatched Youth & Adult Umpires
- Ages 12+
- 18+ must pass state and national background checks, as well as complete an online course in Abuse Awareness
- Certification/patching not required
- If available, can use shared facemask & chest protector (limited sets, so we recommend all umpries have their own gear)
- Must wear non-team supporting clothes/hat (No TAYBS/Town branded clothing/hats)
- Work as a pair with another unpatched umpire
- Can umpire Minors level regular season games only
- Paid $30 per game when paired with another unpatched umpire
- Paid $40 per game when having to umpire solo (uncommon situation)
- Required once per year onsite training held by certified umpire (provided through TAYBS)
Patched Adult Umpires
- Ages 15+
- 18+ must pass state and national background checks, as well as complete an online course in Abuse Awareness
- Babe Ruth League National Umpire Association Certification/patching is required, click here for more details
- Your own full equipment set is required (see below for required equipment)
- Work solo for regular season games
- Work in pairs for playoff and tournament games
- Paid $60 per small diamond game (Minors & Majors)
- For big diamond games, umpires are paid $65 for Junior Ruth and $75 for Senior Ruth games when in pairs
- For big diamond games, when solo, umpires are paid $90
- Once per year onsite training held by a certified umpire, will be available for you. (provided through TAYBS)
